At the regular Foreign Ministry press conference held that day, a reporter asked whether the Foreign Ministry could provide further details on the event schedule and China's expectations. In response, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Guo Jiakun noted that the World Economic Forum is hailed as the "weather vane of the global economy" and is one of the most internationally influential non-official economic forums. President Xi Jinping has attended the forum three times, delivering important speeches each time—messages that strongly advocated for supporting economic globalization, upholding and practicing multilateralism, and jointly creating a better world. This year’s annual meeting of the forum is themed "Cooperation in the Intelligent Era," inviting participants from all sectors to explore ways to strengthen collaboration and collectively seize the development opportunities presented by the intelligent age. Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang will deliver a special address at the China-focused session during the opening plenary of the annual meeting.
Guo Jia Kun noted that China looks forward to strengthening exchanges and communication with all parties, fostering mutual understanding and trust, building consensus on cooperation, and upholding genuine multilateralism by participating in the forum's annual meeting. Together, they will advocate for a balanced and orderly multipolar world as well as an inclusive, win-win economic globalization, contributing positively to improving global economic governance and boosting global economic growth.
