Li Qiang attends the opening ceremony of the 2025 Summer Davos Forum and delivers a speech.

On the morning of June 25, Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Summer Davos Forum in Tianjin. Ecuadorian President Noboa, Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister Kasymaliyev, Senegalese Prime Minister Sonko, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with more than 1,700 representatives from various sectors across over 90 countries and regions, were also present.

Li Qiang stated that the global economic and trade landscape is undergoing profound transformations. The economic system is becoming increasingly diversified, with the rising influence of countries in the Global South. Traditional trade growth is slowing down, while emerging markets are bucking the trend with robust expansion. Meanwhile, global institutions are facing challenges, yet regional cooperation is steadily on the rise. At the same time, cross-border investment remains volatile and declining, heightening risks of supply chain fragmentation. We must align ourselves with the right path and prevailing trends, demonstrating wisdom and responsibility by adopting a proactive stance and engaging in constructive actions. Above all, we must firmly embrace an inclusive, mutually beneficial form of economic globalization, safeguarding free trade and multilateralism to foster stable and sustainable global economic growth. First, we should resolve disputes and differences through equal dialogue and consultation. China stands ready to work tirelessly alongside nations worldwide, building a solid foundation of trust that underpins international economic and trade cooperation. Second, we must uphold shared interests through mutually beneficial partnerships. China will continue to actively participate in multilateral platforms such as APEC, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, and the G20, driving high-quality joint initiatives under the Belt and Road framework. Finally, by exploring new opportunities for growth, we can achieve win-win outcomes together. China is committed to strengthening industrial collaboration with countries around the globe, expanding the pie of mutual cooperation and ensuring that everyone shares in the fruits of development.

Li Qiang stated that China will continue to actively integrate into the global market, contributing its economic strengths to meet the needs of the world economy. Over the years, China’s economy has remained a key engine driving global growth—thanks not only to its own stability and robust growth trajectory, but also to its openness and deep integration with the global economy. With sustained, steady growth, China’s economy will provide strong support for accelerating the recovery of the global economy. Meanwhile, China’s continuously expanding and upgrading domestic market will create new opportunities to reverse the downturn in international trade and economic cooperation. And as China’s innovation continues to break through and advance at an accelerated pace, it will inject fresh momentum into global development, helping to address the persistent challenge of sluggish growth.

Li Qiang emphasized that this forum, themed "Entrepreneurial Spirit in the New Era," carries significant practical relevance. The new era calls on entrepreneurs to play a greater role and achieve even greater success. He encouraged everyone to focus on pursuing paths of integrity, embrace pioneering initiatives, and prioritize win-win collaborations. Meanwhile, the Chinese government will continue to foster a world-class business environment characterized by market-oriented principles, rule of law, and internationalization. At the same time, China remains fully open and warmly welcomes businesses from around the globe to invest in, deeply engage with, and grow alongside China—working together to build a brighter future for all.
